Interiors
This retreat-like home, sprawling across XX acres and located in XXX, endeavours to create a living environment in which nature plays a large role. While the lion’s share of establishing the desired feel is shouldered by the landscape, the interiors, too, are aligned to the central idea, creating a cohesive and compelling environment in which outdoors and indoors became inseparable. The interiors are fuss-free, clean, contemporary and earthy. The restrained visual expression is deliberate as it weaves in a sense of serenity. Materiality leans towards the organic: timber, Lava stone, Kandla Brown, and lime-plastered surfaces establish the desired idea of living close to nature aesthetically and a Balinese vibe. This is strengthened by large windows that invite the surrounding greenery into the indoors, signalling that living in this home is not limited to enclosed environments alone.
