Meaningful design solutions

Creativity. Customer centric-ness. Contextual design. Collaboration. R+R Architects was founded on these four principles by Ar. Raghav Patel and Id Ramesh Lohar in 2016. Their shared ideologies, pursuit of excellence and admiration for restrained, clean-lined design and cubism, which served as a starting point to establish an independent practice, inform the design responses of the studio even today.

Our oeuvre — whether it is a small outhouse, a private villa, a large-scale housing project or a commercial building — is united by a clear creative vision, honesty of material expression, and an ever-present endeavour for the well-being of the user.

We know design shapes environments, social structures and, finally, an individual. Which is why we believe in resolving every aspect of a design, however small. We never lose sight of an immensely crucial fact — design matters.

Ar. Raghav Patel,

Raghav Patel, founder and principal architect of R+R Architects, completed his Bachelors in Architecture from SCET, Surat in 2005. Soon after he joined Hiren Patel Architects (HPA) and trained and worked with eminent architect Hiren Patel for over a decade. In his stint as a Senior Architect for HPA, Raghav handled project that saw the wonderful marriage of art and architecture which instilled a passion towards aesthetic improvisation and composition in the architect – the result was a bevy of awards and accolades. Raghav today works on a variety of projects where his focus lies in developing creative sustainable design strategies that exceed project expectations. Besides sustainable design, Raghav also has an interest in the intersection of culture and environment and multi-disciplinary collaborations.

Id. Ramesh Lohar,

Ramesh Lohar, the founder and principal designer of R+R Architects, has a diploma in both civil and interior designing, from INIFD, Ahmedabad. Ramesh worked with Hiren Patel Architects for over 10 years as a senior designer and has garnered invaluable experience and contributed to the firm’s success story. Besides, all the projects Ramesh headed has been nominated and reviewed in many publications and awards for its superlative designs. By adeptly blending conceptual design with an emphasis on fine detailing, Ramesh’s expertise has tackled complex project requirements and curated spaces which are humane and innovative.

Raghav Patel, founder and principal architect of R+R Architects, completed his bachelor’s degree in architecture from SCET, Surat, in 2005.Raghav oversaw a project that saw the lovely relationship of art and architecture, instilling in the architect a passion for aesthetic improvisation and composition—the result was a slew of awards and accolades. Raghav now works on a variety of projects, with a focus on developing creative, sustainable design strategies that go above and beyond project expectations. Raghav is interested in the intersection of culture and the environment, as well as multidisciplinary collaborations.

Ramesh Lohar, the founder and interior designer of R+R Architects, has a diploma in both civil and interior design from INIFD, Ahmedabad. Besides, all the projects Ramesh headed have been nominated and reviewed in many publications and have won awards for their superlative designs. By adeptly blending conceptual design with an emphasis on fine detailing, Ramesh’s expertise has tackled complex project requirements and curated spaces that are humane and innovative. Ramesh’s philosophy in life is to distinguish himself from others by following a distinct design and work philosophy with discipline.
